Rebellelion is my own fashion brand I started in 2015 focused on creating eco-friendly and ethical clothing. When designing my website, I was aware that the majority of users would be interacting with my site through their mobile phones. Many mobile versions of websites are simplified and a bit boring, so I brainstormed on a way to create a layout that is interesting and elevated, yet still user friendly. I had a vision of creating content blocks to look like retro newspaper ads to highlight the different offerings of my website. This unique design allowed me to call-out specific features, as well as utilize the faces of a diverse range of people so that everyone felt welcome shopping my collections.
