Michael’s was seeking elevated lifestyle photography to refine their brand image from a child’s craft store to a bespoke art supplier. They wanted the lighting to be soft, like natural window light, with dramatic shadows. I dialed in a neutral background with clean styling to center the product as the focus of each photo. I worked independently as both the product stylist and photographer for this shoot. Luckily, I’m crafty and had so much fun playing with clay! I had over 100 clay products to photograph, so it was a unique challenge finding different ways to mold the clay to resemble an in-progress project, while keeping the styling elevated.
